This role requires a dual skillset- Research and Communications : The volunteer will use VSO’s current project/programme evidence to develop strategic communication materials and enable VSO and partners to use them for effective knowledge sharing, re-programming and advocacy as appropriate.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
A holder of a Masters degree in Research or Mass Communication.
At least five years of work experience in research and communications.
Practical experience in designing and conducting social research or practicing mass media and strategic communication.
An understanding of community-based participatory development approaches is an added advantage
Excellent communication skills with good command of both spoken and written English
Experience working in a conflict or post-conflict context is most desirable
